Have your power windows stopped working? Replacing the window regulator (or motor) can get your power windows working like new again.
The mechanism that makes your power windows work is one of the more reliable components of most late-model vehicles. In fact, it's not much different from the mechanism used in manual or hand-crank windows. Diagnosing the cause of problems with power windows is pretty straightforward once the door panels are removed. If you're having problems, don't hesitate to contact us.
The window regulator is the part that allows you to raise and lower your window. Regardless of whether you have a manual (crank) or power window, the regulator itself is a pretty simple mechanism, and since it's mechanical, they can wear out. If this has happened to you, we'd be happy to install a new regulator for you. This service is available at our shop in Aiken, located at 1004 Owens Street. Feel free to stop in Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or click the link below to send us an email.
Since manufacturers switched regulators over to a "cable" system from a "scissor" system, it's very rare that a regulator can actually be repaired. Typically, when problems occur or the regulator fails all together it must be replaced, and that's what we do! If you are having problems with your window regulator, we'll troubleshoot them for you and recommend the best solution (which will probably be to replace it).
If your power windows have stopped working, we can help. Let us replace the window regulator to get them working like new again.
As you can see from the diagram, the window regulator is easy to get at once you remove the door panels.
